HAWDO is dedicated to empowering communities in Somaliland through sustainable development, good governance, and citizen engagement. Our mission is to:

  1. Promote democracy and transparency in governance.
  2. Improve access to essential services like water, education, and healthcare.
  3. Strengthen environmental resilience and combat climate change.
  4. Foster technological innovation and digital transformation.
  5. Empower youth and women through education and leadership.
  6. Build partnerships for impactful, long-term development.

We aim to create a prosperous, democratic, and resilient Somaliland where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

Promote Democracy and Good Governance:

Empower citizens to actively participate in the democratic process, ensuring that governance structures are accountable, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the people.

Provide Essential Services:

Improve access to basic services such as water, education, healthcare, and sanitation, particularly in underserved and vulnerable communities, including IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons).

Empower Youth and Women:

Provide training, educational opportunities, and leadership programs to equip youth and women with the skills needed for personal and professional success, while fostering a culture of civic engagement.

Foster Technological Innovation and Digital Transformation:

Advocate for and implement digital solutions to enhance governance, expand access to technology, and promote e-government initiatives to bridge the digital divide in Somaliland.

Strengthen Environmental Resilience:

Lead efforts in combating climate change by promoting sustainable agricultural practices, reforestation, and climate adaptation strategies to protect Somaliland’s natural resources.
